The tickets for the Women's World Cup 2025 were released on Thursday (September 4) in a four-day pre-sale window at a record low price. The tickets are available for as low as INR 100 (USD 1.14). It has made it the most affordable ICC global event in history.
To put these prices in context, the previous edition of the ICC Women's World Cup in 2022 cost NZD 7 for kids and NZD 17 for adults, excluding any further additional charges. This roughly translates to INR 350 (USD 4.45)* for kids and INR 850 (USD 10)*, eight-and-a-half times the cost of the current World Cup ticket prices.
The tickets have gone on sale with less than a month to go for the opening fixture between India and Sri Lanka on September 30 in Guwahati.
Eight teams are participating in the 13th edition of the Women's World Cup. These are co-hosts India and Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England, and South Africa. The ICC also recently increased the prize money for the upcoming edition of the Women's World Cup setting aside USD 13.88 million, nearly four times of the prize money from the 2022 edition of USD 3.5 million.
