Former Pakistan bowler Wasim Akram has revealed the name of the batter, who gave him and his new ball bowling partner Waqar Younis sleepless nights and interestingly it is not Sachin Tendulkar.
"In one-day cricket, the best batter I bowled was Adam Gilchrist. He was fearsome. He scared me and Waqar (Younis)," Akram said on the podcast Stick To Cricket.

"Gilly was the toughest to bowl in the ODIs and so was Sanath Jayasuriya. I am forgetting another great Sri Lankan cricketer Aravinda da Silva," he added.
However, Akram picked Tendulkar as one of his top five favourite cricketers.
Poll
Who do you think was the toughest batter for Wasim Akram to bowl against?
"Imran Khan, Viv Richards, Martin Crowe, Brian Lara, and Sachin Tendulkar. These are my five picks," he said.
"Javed (Miandad) bhai must be at six. I didn't bowled much to Ricky Ponting in Tests, but he was also good," he said.
When asked about the best bowler, he said: "Malcom Marshal. He got wickets in across conditions. He was good in England, Australia, South Africa and even in the sub-continent pitches, he was equally devastating," he said.
On the India vs Pakistan situation, Akram said: "I hope to see a Test series between India and Pakistan in my lifetime," he said.
"Politics apart, I am not a politician. They are patriotic about their country, we are patriotic about ours. Let's not go below the belt. Talk about the triumphs of your country; the same goes for Pakistan and the same goes for India."
